Is There a New Form of Robots Already Here?

Am I the only one that thinks this is disturbing? Well people, this is where our future is headed! Personally, this makes me a little worried for my future but we can't control everything so we can only wish for luck. 

 The scary thing about these robots is that they will be able to identify and fire on targets without human intervention. They will be the ones who make the choice on when to take a human life. 

"There is a sense of deep discomfort with the idea of allowing machines to make life-and-death decisions on the battlefield with little or no human involvement," said Kathleen Lawand, head of the arms unit at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

Some people say that these robots go against standards of international human rights law and international humanitarian law. What do you think? Should this idea be banned and go into the book of  History's Wost Inventions?
